In addition to Zelkova Ventures and the Starlight Foundation, Larry is also an frequent donor, administering generous contributions to a number of nonprofit organizations such as: The Bachmann-Strauss Dystonia and Parkinson Foundation, the Eagle Hill School, and Cornell University. The Bachmann-Strauss Dystonia and Parkinson Foundation is a leading research foundation for dystonia and Parkinson’s disease. It is one of the few organizations focusing on the overlap between the two diseases. The foundation offers research and innovation grant awards in order to contribute to breakthroughs in drug and medical treatment. In September 2014, the Bachmann-Strauss Dystonia and Parkinson Foundation announced a promising alliance with the Michael J. Fox foundation for Parkinson’s Research. A newly established $100,000 annual grant offered between the two organizations will refocus efforts to increase public awareness, knowledge, and support for dystonia and Parkinson’s research.
